Irregular Verbs - Simple Past


O Passado Simples (Simple Past) se faz na afirmativa basicamente acrescentando-se ED ao verbo no infinitivo. Para a interrogativa e negativa é usado o auxiliar DID. Mas alguns verbos que na afirmativa não seguem a regra básica de se acrescentar ED.  Esta é uma lista de alguns verbos irregulares mais comuns no passado simples.

Apesar de a escrita ser a mesma, o passado do verbo “to read” possui uma pronúncia diferente. Enquanto no presente lê-se /riid/, no passado lê-se /réad/.
